Quran answers: “Do men think that they will be left alone saying, ’We believe’, and that they will not be tested? We did test those before them, and Allaah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false.” [29:2-3]
Why could I never get what I want? Does the above verse from Quran tells that man is not supposed to wish for anything in this life? Wishes do not come true, our imperfect nature as a human being lead us to think falsely sometimes and get depressed when we do not get what we want out of life. Sometimes people pray and prayer for years but still their wish is not granted, that does not mean that their prayers are totally wasted. See another verse of Quran:
Quran answers: ”It is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing, which is bad for you. But Allaah knows, while you know not.” Surah Al-Baqarah [2:216]
Why are we Burdened in Life?
Everyone here on this earth is undergoing a test by God, we must not think of this place as an amusement park where we can spent a happy time forever. Tests are the essential part of life, sometimes human beings get overwhelmed and outrgeous due to their inability to understand the tests from Allah. Allah do not burden any human being more than they can lift. Everyone is given a test according to their power.
Quran answers: “Allaah does not place a burden to a soul greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns.” Surah Al-Baqarah [2:286] & “So verily, with every difficulty there is relief: (repeated) Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.” Surah Al-Insyirah [94:5-6]
Should We Lose Hope?
Hope is always there because God is always present and listening to every prayer and word we say.
Quran answers: “So lose not heart, nor fall into despair…” Surah Al-Imran [3:139]
How to Face the Test of Life?
Quran answers: ” O you who believe! Persevere in patience and constancy; compete in such perseverance; strengthen each other; and fear Allaah that you may prosper.” Surah Al-Imran [3:200] & “And seek (Allaah’s) help with patience, perseverance and prayer: It is indeed hard, except to those who bring a humbly submissive (to Allaah).” Surah Al-Baqarah [2:45]
Quran answers: “Indeed, Allaah has purchased from the believers their lives and properties (in exchange) for that they will have the garden (of Paradise)…” Surah At-Taubah [9:111]
Muslims can always depend on Allah at the time of turmoil, chaos and crisis. When things donot make sense, tyring to understand them does not help, what does help is the dependence of Allah and a belief that he is the one who is doing everything to bring the best in his people.
Quran answers: “(Allaah) suffices me: there is no god but He: On Him is my trust- He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme.” Surah At-Taaubah [9:129]
Quran answers: “…and never give up hope of Allaah’s Soothing Mercy; truly No one despairs of Allaah’s Soothing Mercy. except Those who have no faith.” Surah Yusuf [9:87] & “Despairs not of the Mercy of Allaah: for Allaah forgives All sins for He is Often- Forgiving, Most Merciful.” Surah Az-Zumar [39:53]
