Concept of “Chosen” and “Forbidden”

Symbolically guidance means to instruct the followers to adopt what is best in their favor in order to shunt the patterns of wrongdoers and ancient pagans. Spiritually it is elaborating the merits and purpose of the orders that why Allah has commanded to abide from embracing things and why He has asked to follow rest to become Mutaqi.

The concept of distinction between accepted and forbidden are highly debated topics. The non-believers use to ask the reason behind banning alcohols, pork, adultery, and lies whereas they mock the lawful thing including polygamy, veil of woman, Jihad in path of Allah and Fasting in Ramadan. Indeed, they are the averted ignorant souls who are oblivion of Allah’s blessings. Despite being their arrogance Allah is their Rab and will guide them till the Day of Eternity as Quran narrated:

“And if Allah were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon the earth any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allah has ever been, of His servants, Seeing.”

The non-believers are far from the teachings because they never bother to open the book of Allah and probe its meanings otherwise the world would be left with no single heretic to defy the laws of Supreme Lord.

Avoiding the Sinful Acts

Islam is the religion of pure hearts and pure intentions and to this religion, impurity and illegalities are foreign. Allah has kept certain barricades for the faith bearer to accept and deny the rest. If alcohol is haram and banned in the Muslim countries or for Muslims the reason is valid and has scientific implications. Drinking liquor deludes the mental strength and one loses one control hence can succumb to lucrative deeds that are gross sins in Islam. Alcohol is significant if it does not lead to an illusion that is why most of the medicines have alcohol in it.

“They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, “In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit…..” [Quran 2:219]

Intake of pork is haram either as it is the mother of all sins. It leads to diseases and contain fat bearing materials. Secondly, pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth who feeds on his own excreta. Quran has clear commandments regarding pork as narrated:

“He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah . But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” [Quran 2:173]

Keeping extramarital affairs is illegal and becomes cause of crossing legitimate boundaries. Adultery is allowing one’s intimidate desires and to its satisfaction commits major sin that are non-forgivable in sight of Allah and in Quran.

“… But once they are sheltered in marriage, if they should commit adultery, then for them is half the punishment for free [unmarried] women. This [allowance] is for him among you who fears sin, but to be patient is better for you. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” [Quran 4:25]

True Momin is Who Seeks Light of Quran

Momin is the person who declares his faith upon one lord under pursuit of Shahada and accepts what is quoted in Quran without any argumentation. Quran has clear concept regarding it as:

believing men and women 33_36

“It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.” [Quran 33:36]

According to the aforementioned verse Momin are those who willingly handed their matters to Allah and have firm faith in His decision without denying minor or major command. Quran is undoubtedly book of guidance and beacon of Hidayah but question looms who are those who want to seek Hidayah and want to be among the granted ones? The question is easy if one scrutinize the teachings with open heart and mind. Allah has open the portals of human mind towards every sign in the universe that is why He has emphasized and asked the followers to consider these signs in the creation of universe, sun, moon , life and death. While those who are ignorant will remain ignorant and are deaf to Allah’s verses and will never embrace Islam. For those Quran has clear orders that they are the highest ignorant ones who will no matter what mock Quran and verily are in steep of oblivion.
