They feel that they are not ahead in their knowledge, so they have to believe in the knowledge non-Muslims provide them, whether that knowledge is in accordance with the Quranic teachings or not.

The Islamic character is an upright system of life that is sound due to its simple yet powerful principles, fundamentals, and etiquette. The base of Islamic character is the fear and obedience of Allah and his Messenger.
The character is developed through the external and internal influences in our lives. When we choose Quran as the key influence for building character, it moulds into the Islamic character.Haj and Umrah are also the examples of Islamic characters in pilgrims who visit Mecca for the repentance of their sins.
Islam is very keen to describe the true Islamic character. Its impact of Islamic character is huge over the lives of people. The evolve as a society into a positive force due to good qualities. Because Allah is a good God and Islamic character is based on the belief of Allah, therefore it includes the qualities of Allah like truthfulness, honesty, chastity, modesty, good attitude, kindness to neighbours, hastening to do good, helping people to do what is right, refraining from harming others, and other aspects of Islamic conduct.
The basis of the Islamic character is a belief in Allah and His Messenger, and submission to and compliance with the rulings, principles, and etiquette of Islam.
Over the period of hundred years, there have been many controversies and distorted beliefs about the Islam and the Islamic character. The true meanings of Islamic character are not fully known to the world. Islam transforms the hearts of the Muslims, therefore there is no distortion in the character of a person who believes in Islam.
The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “I was only sent to perfect good manners and attitude.” Narrated by Ahmad (8729); classed as Saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami‘ (2349).
Islamic character is about purifying your soul as a true believer through deeds and Sunnah.
“Indeed Allah conferred a great favour on the believers when He sent among them a Messenger (Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) from among themselves, reciting unto them His Verses (the Quran), and purifying them (from sins by their following him), and instructing them (in) the Book (the Quran) and Al-Hikmah (the wisdom and the Sunnah of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) (i.e. his legal ways, statements, acts of worship, etc.)), while before that they had been in manifest error”
[Aal ‘Imraan 3:164].
The Islamic character provides honor and dignity to the people of Allah who promise to follow his enlightened path and glorify his name.
