Controlling anger in Islam. Once upon a time a man came to the prophet Muhammad and asked him about an advice about anger, the prophet said:

“Do not be angry”. The man repeated the same question and (the Prophet) again said: “Do not be angry,” and continued: “He is not strong and powerful who throws people down but he is strong who withholds himself from anger.”

Controlling Anger in Islam For Love of Allah

Allah almighty gave humans many emotions and senses. We are sensitive and feel deeply when loved or hated. Emotions like love, hate, fear, anger…etc.can take a toll on us in specific circumstances. That depends on our psychology and circumstances,  but there is one emotion called anger that is called negative and prohibited in Islam.   Anger is one emotion that should be used very carefully on all occasions, backfiring and outbursting is not going to solve the problem and it is going to bring chaos into the already messy world.

 The negative use of Anger

The anger can be used by man or woman by keeping them safe from corruption or getting robbed in an empty street at night. That is a good usage of this emotion, but using it on the weak and powerless kids and elderly people to betray them from their rights is a sin. Moreover, another example of anger that is prohibited in Islam is the use of abusive language in response to an argument. This causes angels to flee and devil to occupy the space where abusive arguments are thrown back at each other. It is not right for the faithful to be a coward or to be controlled by weakness, the believers are made to stand up against the oppression, evil and corruption. Being afraid in a cowardly way only leads to being submitted to humiliation and aggression.

Correct Use of Anger

Anger is a powerful emotion that can be used to boost you soul and energise your spirit. It can deliver you freedom from many curses if used smartly. For example, the man should be angry about an evil action or corruption in society. He should not be angry on  Allah for the things he has the power to change, he should wait for God’s help for the things he cannot change. A man should not allow his anger to overwhelm his will. This leads many individuals towards crimes and oppress others. Revenge is also a bad use of anger that is not a way of prophet Muhammad when he had a chance to take revenge from his beaten enemies.

Allah Likes Forgiveness

About controlling anger in Islam. The Messenger of Allah (s) forbids us and use our mind and will power instead to control anger.  One who can control his anger becomes more powerful than his enemy. The enemy Shaitan smiles when he sees a good person in pain and agony and having resentment through anger.  Allah loves us and he knows what is best for us, so trusting God in all situations makes our spirits alive.Allah has a forgiving nature and he likes forgiveness.
