List of hadith collections. Hadith is the word came from the mouth of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him which is directly related to the teachings of Islam. Without faith in Hadith, a Muslim cannot qualify for being a Muslim, the hadith collection is a collection of books which contain the most important teachings of Prophet Muhammad to his followers to guide them till the end of this world. These are the acts of Muhammad peace be upon him from two major sects in Islam.
Al-Bukhari
Imam Bukhari who was a Persian scholar wrote a collection of Hadith which is considered to be the most authentic sources of Hadith. Bukhari three works of Hadith and the book is the most famous and frequently read book of Hadith in the world.
Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj
Imam Muslim was also a Persian Muslim scholar who compiled this fabulous collection of Hadith called Sahih Muslim. These collections are also considered to be most authentic with Sahi Bukhari. The Sunni scholar Muslim had a great deal of Islamic knowledge. This books is considered the most powerful book of Hadith after Al-Bukhari.
Sunan Abu Dawud
Abu Dawud was a famous Persian who collected and compiled this collection of Hadith from Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. He was the follower of Hanbali and these Hadith are a way to live life for an intelligent person. Some great Hadith found in this books are as follows:
- Deeds are to be judged only by intentions.[3]
- Part of a man’s good observance of Islam is that he leaves alone that which does not concern him.
- None of you can be a believer unless you love for your brother that which you love for yourself.
- The permitted (halal) is clear, and the forbidden (haram) is clear, between these two are doubtful matters. Whosoever abstains from these doubtful matters has saved his religion.
Al-Tirmidhi
Tirmidhi is also a Persian Islamic scholar who has collected this collection of Hadith to form a book named Al-Tirmidhi. It reflects the character of Prophet Muhammad and Tirmidhi was a student of Al-Bukhari who write Sahi Bukhari. Tirmidhi also narrated some Hadith from Abu Dawud. Habval was also the teacher of Tirmidhi. Tirmidhi lost his eyesight in the final two years of his life and died blindly. The reason of his blindness was the fear of God and his weeping over the death of Al-Bukhari.
Al-Nasa’i
Abū `Abd ar-Raḥmān Aḥmad ibn Shu`ayb ibn Alī ibn Sīnān al-Nasā’ī, was a Hadith collector and a writer of other books explaining the science of Hadith. Imam Al Nasai was the student and follower of Shafi Fiqh who had four children and a wife. His other r books include Sunan Al Kuba, Amul Yawmi. And Khasais Ali.
Ibn Majah
Abū ʻAbdillāh Muḥammad ibn Yazīd Ibn Mājah al-Rabʻī al-Qazwīnī or Ibn Majah was a scholar who was also Persian. He compiled the book of Hadith called Ibn Majah which was also the last book of Hadith for Sunni Muslims.
