There are many religions in the world. But Christianity and Islam are the two most followed and popular religions in the world today. Both of these religions have a superb history and have some differences. In the 1st century CE, Christianity was born out of Judaism, it talks about the life, death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ who was crucified by his men. The followers of Jesus Christ are called Christians.

However, Islam was developed in the 7th century CE. It is based on the teachings of prophet Muhammad and Quran was known as the word of God. Islam means to surrender and submit to the will of God. Muslims also respect Christians for their religious beliefs and accept Jesus Christ as a messenger or God. They also share the same concept of One God.

Christians call Jesus the Son of God, while Muslims believe that he was a human being and a creation of God, who gave his life to save his followers till eternity. The different books or scriptures exist in both religions.

Muslims follow the holy book of Quran while the Christians follow the Bible, which is also the book of God. Both Islam and Christianity have existed in the world for many centuries peacefully in various parts of the world. There are old as well as new testaments in the Bible, the central books of Bible are Gospels. Muslims recall Jesus Christ as Isa. Christians have a strong belief in the sinless nature of Jesus. Both the religions believe that Jesus was born to Mary.

The holy book of Muslims Quran was revealed to prophet Muhammad through angel Gabriel or Jibril. The Muslims have a firm belief that Quran is protected by God for all eternity and no one will be able to alter even a single word of it.The Trinty principal says that God is one and he exists eternally. All the other beings are subject to death. The early Christians have written on Islam and some have talked about prophet Muhammad in a rude manner, accusing him of spreading a demonic religion.

The art and culture of Islam have inspired many Christians all around the world. The Islamic festivals like Eid are celebrated with passion and joy all over the globe twice a year. The Christians celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25th on Christmas day. The religious architectures have also strongly influenced the people of both religions. Despite some difference in Christian philosophy, it agrees with Islam on the Oneness of God.
